Heron Pot by Jack Upsall

Heron Pot: Jack, Fay (16th June 2017).

Well, nearly Wednesday. Gentle trip down a pretty dry Heron Pot, taking the “traditional” route. Pretty dry, that is, until the canal and wet crawl, and the exit. Back up to the entrance (via the surface) and down again to retrieve the ropes, thereby saving Fay’s not-quite-waterproof watch from a second immersion.

Fay gallantly went down to the re-belay on the second pitch. Having de-rigged the belay, a slightly surprised Fay then realised that she was still in DOWN mode and wanted to go UP… Nothing a few fiddles with prussikers and descendeurs didn’t solve.

And out. Might like to look at the High Level route sometime…
